In December 2014 we broke ground on a new learning centre in Padariya, a very remote village in Southern Nepal. The new building provides access to education for approximately 300 very poor and underprivileged children from the surrounding villages who would otherwise have very little access to any schooling at all.
In spite of significant political issues and the 2015 earthquake the construction was completed in October 2015 just 1 month behind schedule. The building is now officially open with the children happy and settled in their first ever school.
in addition to the school, we built an adjacent fish farm to create a revenue and ensure funding for teachers and maintenance for a sustainable future.
