Phuket, Thailand.
In December 2013 we officially opened the doors of a new learning centre and safe-house for 300 underprivileged Burmese immigrant children on the island of Phuket in Thailand.
The children live in a shanty town by the fishing port and had no access to education or health care. The children were at very high risk of kidnapping and abuse, spending many hours alone in the town whilst their parents are forced to work long hours on local fishing boats. The school has been a huge success with children graduating on to both vocational and further education.
